Learning outcomes
After successful completion of the study course requirements, students will have acquired knowledge that will allow:
Understand, define and outline the concepts of descriptive epidemiology of the most common tumours – incidence, mortality, prevalence, five-year survival, relative and attributable risk.
Describe and classify primary, secondary and tertiary tumor prevention methods.
To gain an understanding of the carcinogenesis of the tumour, the ways of spread, the course of development and the possibilities of influencing it.
Distinguish, evaluate and apply tumor diagnostic methods. Use TNM and other tumour classification methods.
To formulate the effectiveness of different tumour therapy methods, indications, contraindications and combination possibilities.
