Objective

To acquire dentistry vocabulary in Latvian and Latvian language at a conversational level in order to be able to use language in clinic and to communicate with patients.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the Latvian language is required (level A1/A2 according to Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning, Teaching and Assessment).

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
• use stomatology vocabulary in the Latvian language;
• to talk to the patient in Latvian.

Skills

On successful completion of the course, the students will be able to:
• select and use appropriate stomatology vocabulary in communication with a patient;
• to develop a case history.

Competence

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to use practically stomatology vocabulary and communicate with adult patients and children.
