About Study Course
Objective
To improve the quality of the study process, deepening knowledge of the diversity of information in the field of law, and to improve skills in searching, retrieving and processing information in law.
Prerequisites
Basic computer skills, knowledge of the official language and English.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the study course requirements, students will have acquired knowledge that will allow them to recognize and evaluate high-quality, reliable, validated, and scientific information resources in the field of law. Students will demonstrate information search tools and methods, develop an appropriate strategy for searching information, and apply critical evaluation to the information found. The knowledge gained will allow applying online tools and capabilities to receive and organise up-to-date information in the field of law.
After completing the study course, students will be able to work independently with electronic resources in the field of law and apply advanced search skills in searching electronic information. Students will conduct in-depth search for information in online e-book, full-text journal databases, citation information databases, formulate accurate search strategies, and retain results.
Students will be able to carry out high-quality, assessed information search using the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge. They will independently analyse information search opportunities and situations, and develop appropriate search strategy. They will critically analyse the reliability and usefulness of the information found, its relevance to the topic and the specific situation.
