Objective

To develop international students' ability to use their preliminary Latvian skills in conversation in everyday situations.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of English; having successfully finished the mandatory course in the Latvian language.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

On successful completion of the course students will be able to use the most common vocabulary for everyday situations and basic principles on which a conversation in Latvian is built.

Skills

On successful completion of the course, the students will be able to provide and specify information about themselves and their needs, make requests and ask questions as well as answer them in simple Latvian.

Competence

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to communicate in simple Latvian in the most common everyday situations.
