Dr. Ulvi Gürsoy will be holding a lecture themed 'How to present your findings: Art of communication' at RSU.
Dr. Ulvi Gürsoy is the head of the Periodontology department at the University of Turku, Finland. He received his DDS from Gazi University, Turkey in 1998 and accomplished his PhD in periodontology in Cumhuriyet University, Turkey in 2004. Started his post-doctoral training in University of Helsinki, Finland and National Public Health Institute, Helsinki, Finland in 2005. In 2009, he was appointed as university teacher at the Institute of Dentistry, University of Turku, Finland. He received his associate professorship at the same university in 2010 and professorship in 2023.
He is serving as the director of Finnish Doctoral Programme in Oral Sciences (FINDOS Turku), past-president of the Scandinavian Society of Periodontology and secretary general of the Scandinavian Division (NOF) of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR).
His main research interests are oral immunology and analyses of salivary components in diagnosis of periodontitis.
