About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with basic knowledge about the legal provision of criminal legal relations, to acquire knowledge about the practical course of criminal proceedings, pre-trial criminal proceedings, general rules of legal proceedings, based on previously acquired knowledge in the general part of criminal proceedings.
Prerequisites
Introduction to civil law, Theory of law, History of Latvian law, Logic, Criminal procedure. General part.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the study course students become familiar with the practical course of the criminal procedure, know the investigative activities, the procedure for drawing up thereof, know the general rules of legal proceedings.
On completion of the course, students are familiar with the criminal procedure, are able to perform procedural activities, to apply the knowledge of the criminal procedure, to carry out analysis of the criminal procedure, to draw up criminal procedural documents.
On completion of the study course students are able to select and process legal information necessary for the completion of assignments independently or within working groups in order to draw up draft procedural documents.
