About Study Course
Objective
To promote learning about physical exercise, its effects on the human body, its role in strengthening health of people of all ages and genders.
Prerequisites
Knowledge acquired in anatomy, physiology, sports physiology, biomechanics, gymnastics, track and field and other subjects of the 1st and 2nd years of studies.
Learning outcomes
1. will know means and methods of implementing a healthy lifestyle.
2. will know the significance of physical activities in health promotion.
3. will know the role and application of physical exercise in strengthening health, preventing diseases and increasing quality of life.
4. will know the impact of physical exercise on human health in all age groups to promote health, ensure prevention, therapy and rehabilitation.
5. will know the impact of lack of exercise on human health in all age groups.
6. will be well versed in WHO recommendations for physical activity for all age groups.
7. will be well versed in latest scientific knowledge on the role and use of physical exercise in strengthening person’s health.
8. To determine and critically evaluate visually visible changes in human health condition, for example, in the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular and respiratory system.
9. To apply the most appropriate and effective physical exercises, tools and methods for strengthening health, preventing diseases and increasing quality of life.
10. To choose the most appropriate and effective physical exercise to increase the physical fitness of any person.
11. To determine the amount and intensity of training loads according to gender, age, physical fitness and health condition.
12. To draw up a health sports training programme based on recommendations of the World Health Organization and latest scientific evidence for people of different ages with different physical fitness/health conditions.
13. To diversify training according to available resources.
14. Ability to purposefully select appropriate assessment criteria for each person.
15. Ability to purposefully select and create clear training goals for individual development needs.
16. Ability to independently implement a health maintenance/promotion training process suitable to age, gender, ability.
17. Ability to purposefully use various personalised training tools and methods for the specific purpose of training.
