About Study Course
Objective
To apply previously acquired theoretical knowledge into practice, to improve practical skills and their competence in order to be able to work independently as an occupational therapist in mental health care.
Prerequisites
Psychology, psychiatry, occupational therapy.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to find, choose and explain the tactics of occupational therapy intervention strategies working with a variety of psychiatric nosology patients.
Students will be able to collect systematic information to evaluate the patient, to comply with ethical standards and confidentiality. To communicate, to build a therapeutic relationship and to cooperate with the patient and other professionals. To plan, to document the treatment process and assess its effectiveness. Will be able to organise and manage the group sessions. Will be able to plan and use time effectively.
Will be able to formulate and analyse a person with mental health problems occupational performance difficulties, to develop and implement the intervention plan.
