Objective

To teach the use of corpus linguistics in public communication analysis.

Prerequisites

Communication and cultural theories, Quantitative research methods, Qualitative research methods.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students know and understand the corpus analysis methodology, understand concepts, know literature on the occurrence of a meaning in a language.

Skills

Students identify and critically analyse public communication challenges in the aspect of use of discourse, justify their opinion, communicate orally and in writing on corpus analysis with representatives of other fields of science and society, quantitatively and qualitatively analyse corpora linguistics, create a corpus for their research.

Competence

Use obtained knowledge in the analysis of practical cases of public communication, as well as in the development of a doctoral thesis.
