Objective

The study course aims to raise awareness of the possibilities of mutual interrelation between psychology and public health and to present students with fundamental principles in psychology applied in public health and its suitability in public health science and practice.

Prerequisites

Biology and social sciences (basics).

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Will be able to define psychology science and describe the specifics and applicability of its principles and actions in the context of public health.

Skills

Will be able to recognize psychological topics in the public health problematic cases. Will be able to identify the presence of psychological factors in choices related to health behaviour.

Competence

Will be able to offer a wider and more elastic view of public health problems and perform an adequate application of psychology knowledge for solving problems related to public health.
