Objective
Provide an introduction to sociology and the specificity of sociological knowledge; introduce students to sociological thinking: explain basic sociological concepts and methods; facilitate the transition from everyday thinking to sociological analysis; provide insight into social processes and different approaches to studying them.

Knowledge
Students have mastered the main theoretical approaches and know basic sociological concepts
Skills
Students are able to prepare a summary of the literature they have read and present the results of sociological studies.
