About Study Course
Objective
To carry out in-depth studies in criminal procedure law, which would facilitate the acquisition of in-depth knowledge and skills specific to the area of law, providing the opportunity to evaluate and apply criminal procedural norms.
Prerequisites
Criminal law; Legal theory.
Learning outcomes
Students of the Master’s study programme are able to show in-depth knowledge and understanding of the place and role of criminal procedure law in the public law system, to use criminal procedural terminology correctly, as well as understand the procedural order of carrying out various activities.
Students are able to explain and discuss complex or systematic issues of criminal procedure law with both specialists and non-specialists using arguments; to independently use the theory, methods and problem-solving skills of criminal procedure law to carry out research activity or highly qualified professional functions. Students are able to constantly structure their learning, to analyse their level of knowledge and to rationally improve it, to select and evaluate literature sources.
Students are able to independently formulate and critically analyse complex problems of criminal procedure law, justify decisions and carry out additional analysis if necessary; are able to solve specialised problems, apply knowledge and skills in academic and personal development; able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the latest scientific theories and findings, and have good knowledge of research methodologies and modern research methods in the area of criminal procedure law and in the interface between different fields.
