Objective

To provide the students of "the recreative sports" study programme with an opportunity to get acquainted with dance and movement therapy. To acquire methods and techniques which they can use in their profession within their competence in order to use in their profession when creating and leading sport lessons in regard to pupils age and physical, cognitive or psychological difficulties.

Not required.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Student can describe dance and movement therapy, its theoretical approaches and relevant patient groups. He can describe the possibilities of cooperation between dance and movement therapists and health sports professionals.

Skills

Student has gained skills of the usage of practical experience and insights gained in this course in his professional way.

Competence

Student can formulate and base his knowledge about dance and movement therapy and describe the differences and the similarities between dance movement therapy and health sport.
