Objective

Give the opportunity to gain knowledge about the structure of the human body as a whole and the main regularities of its functions, paying more attention to the organs of the head and neck.

Prerequisites

Knowledge in all disciplines of biology at the secondary school program level.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Upon completion of study course the student will know to name the human body organ systems; will be able to describe their structure, position and main functions; will know the characterization of individual head and neck organs innervation, blood supply and lymph flow.There will be knowledge of functional anatomy and the basics of occlusion. Knowledge of occlusal trauma and traumatic occlusal forces.

Skills

The student will recognize and be able to show organs and other anatomical structures, recognize occlusion trauma and recognize deviations from the norm.

Competence

The ability to name part of the anatomical terms in Latin, the ability to evaluate deviations caused by injuries in the head and neck region, the ability to evaluate the severity of an occlusion injury and the necessary therapy by referring to a specialist.
