About Study Course
Objective
To develop an understanding of the fundamentals of market economy and its basic problems, to explain nature of management theory and its practical application in managing an organisation.
Prerequisites
Basics of Economics and Management, Sociology, Ethics and Communications science.
Learning outcomes
The students will be able to:
• understand and explain the terms: market economy, national economics, management, fiscal and monetary policy;
• describe the principles of a functioning market economy;
• name and describe the basic functions of management;
• describe management styles.
• to summarise relevant information about processes of national economy;
• to apply appropriate methods to calculate macroeconomic indicators;
• to select and apply basic principles of human resources management and methods of motivating;
• present one’s independent work on the topics covered in the study course.
• to apply the acquired knowledge of market economy and management issues in the labour market;
• to analyse the internal and external environment;
• to develop a conceptual model of management;
• to determine and defend a choice of a management style;
• to logically formulate and explain the principles of social responsibility in the management of a modern organisation;
• to evaluate the effectiveness of management styles.
