Physiology (Biochemistry, Biophysics) (LF_124)
About Study Course
Objective
To form an understanding of physiology and pathology as a science, identifying the physiological processes taking place in the body, to understand their mutual integration. To promote the understanding of pathological processes from the point of view of normal physiology, its deviations from the norm. To acquire an understanding of the structure and function of the human body at the molecular level, the role of physics in medicine and to provide knowledge of the main issues of general biophysics and biochemistry.
Prerequisites
Biology, anatomy, physics and chemistry.
Learning outcomes
As a result of mastering the study course, students are able to define and tell about the physiological processes in the human body, molecular mechanisms, their course, to explain the processes of biochemistry and biophysics.
As a result of mastering the study course, students are able to evaluate and explain the physiological processes of the organism, describe the physical effects of the surrounding world on the human body and protection from undesirable effects.
As a result of mastering the study course, students are able to evaluate and substantiate the course of the body's physiological processes, integrate their knowledge and skills in specific health problem assessment situations.
