About Study Course
Objective
To learn the history of the social work sector and to develop the ability of students to analyse social welfare issues in interrelation between philosophical thought and historical events.
Prerequisites
None.
Learning outcomes
As a result of mastering the study course, students understand the development of social work as a profession and academic discipline in interrelation between philosophical thought and historical events.
As a result of masting the study course, students explain and discuss the challenges of social work in a reasoned way, demonstrate a historically justified, scientific approach to research and analysis of social work issues.
As a result of masting the study course, students independently obtain, select and analyse information in the social work sector as a whole and in the social worker’s profession, demonstrate that they understand and are able to evaluate the effects of historical and philosophical views on the development of the social work sector.
