Preliminary Knowledge: | Administrative law. | ||||||||
Objective: | Encourage the development of a set of theoretical knowledge on issues related to: 1. administrative process in general; 2. competence of officials (duties, rights, responsibilities); 3. administrative processes in state and local government institutions; 4. the stages of the administrative process; 5. the time limits for the administrative process, the procedure for appeal and appeal of the decision. With the help of practical tasks to improve the skill of using theoretical knowledge in the process of solving practical tasks. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | Homework with specific tasks; • develop and prepare an essay (the content of the essay must include: the problem, the problem causation and problem solution) or procedural document projects suitable for the task; • for each seminar (according to the lecture plan) prepare a presentation, be prepared to present (by using the presentation slides, the theoretical findings and their reflection in practice should be presented). In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Students will be able to define the concept of administrative process, describe the system and concepts of the administrative process. Differentiate administrative acts from other legislation. | ||||||||
Skills: | • Ability to analyse, synthesise and evaluate the place and role of administrative process at work, develop scientific-research skills. • Communication skills – communicate with other students of the bachelor's programme about the problem of the administrative process, demonstrate social skills and emotional intelligence. Form argumentation and ability to listen to opinions. • Guidance for further learning skills – to continuously structure studies, analyse level of knowledge and efficiently complement it, to select and evaluate literature sources. Identify and define problem, to find causation, i.e., "root" of the problem and offer constructive solutions for the problem. • Other general skills – take responsibility for their decisions and actions, to make highly critically evaluated decisions and find solutions in unexpected and changeable circumstances, adapt to new situations and be open to changes, take leadership and initiative and take the responsibility for the consequences, to respect ethical norms, present wide general knowledge and competence. Improve the ability to listen to diverse opinions. | ||||||||
Competencies: | The ability to perform certain tasks related to administrative process, capability to use knowledge and skills in professional and personal development. Application of the law not only "mechanically" but accordingly to the interests and priorities of the society, thus developing the skills to work with the regulatory enactments and understanding law as a whole. To offer not only formal issue solution in the field of administrative law, but to find solutions that would serve the needs and priorities of the community (local community), as well as to improve the public administration in general. | ||||||||
