Preliminary Knowledge:
Basic knowledge in the field of public order and security.
Objective:
To provide students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge about the competence and work organization of the structural units of the State Police in the field of ensuring public order and security, as well as the role of the senior officer of the State Police in this process. Tasks: 1. To provide students with knowledge about the tasks of the State Police and the competence of the structural units of the State Police and work organization in the field of ensuring public order and security. 2. To provide students with knowledge about the concept and nature of public order, public security, internal security and national security. 3. To provide students with knowledge about the activity of the structural units of the State Police, in ensuring public order. 4. To provide students with knowledge about the procedures for registration and examination of offenses and other events. 5. To provide students with knowledge about managing response resources and responding to information about criminal offenses, other offenses and events. 6. To provide students with knowledge about ensuring public order in public places and during public events. 7. To provide students with knowledge about police activity in the field of road traffic monitoring. 8. To provide students with knowledge about police activity in temporary detention places, as well as about escorting and guarding persons. 9. To provide students with knowledge about preventing the threat of violence and providing temporary protection against violence. 10. To provide students with knowledge about providing support to persons who have suffered as a result of violations of the law, in the event of an accident or are in a state of helplessness.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Independent work consists of report development and situation analysis. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria:
You must successfully complete two homework assignments (25% and 25%), present research results (25%) and pass the final test - an exam (25%).

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:As a result of the study course, students will gain knowledge about the competence and work organization of the State Police structural units in the field of ensuring public order and security, which they will be able to apply when performing service or work duties in the relevant field, as well as in cases where violations of the law are detected that threaten public order and security.
Skills:As a result of the study course, students will be able to identify the most typical problem situations in the field of public order and security, determine the measures that promoted the interaction between the police and society, as well as the role and place of prevention in the field of internal state security.
Competencies:As a result of the study course, students will be able to present, clarify and formulate problems in the field of public order and security, develop independent research.
