Assessment
Unaided Work:
The independent work consists of an essay, studying literature and preparing for the exam.
Assessment Criteria:
The type of final exam is a written exam in the form of a test consisting of 30 questions. The final grade consists of a successful exam score of 50% and independent work score of 50%. Very high level of learning (10 excellent, 9 excellent): 10 – Knowledge and skills exceed program requirements. In the essay, the student demonstrates a creative approach and a deep understanding of very complex and problematic issues of the licensing and permit system of the State Police. In the essay, the student is also able to evaluate the different debatable opinions and define the criteria of his assessment. The examination test is written without errors. 9 – Fully mastered the requirements of the study program. In the essay, the student demonstrates that he independently understands various problems of the licensing and permit system of the State Police and uses the acquired knowledge and skills in evaluating complex issues, as well as expresses his reasoned opinion. One mistake is allowed in the examination test. High level of learning (8 very good, 7 good): 8 – Fully mastered the requirements of the study program, but the developed essay lacks a deeper understanding and also the ability to independently use knowledge in the analysis of more controversial issues, as well as lacks a reasoned opinion expressed by the student on the investigated problematic issue of the State Police licensing and permit system. Two to three mistakes are allowed in the examination test. 7 – The requirements of the study program are well learned, but at the same time, several non-essential deficiencies in the acquisition of knowledge and the application of skills can be found in the essay developed by the student, but in the essay he is able to express his personal attitude about the investigated problem of the licensing and permit system of the State Police. Four to five mistakes are allowed in the examination test. Average learning level (6 almost good, 5 average, 4 almost average): 6 – In general, the requirements of the study program are well learned, but at the same time, insufficiently deep understanding or even in some cases also misunderstanding of some more important problems of the licensing and permit system of the State Police can be found. The essay lacks a personal attitude towards the problem under study. Six to seven mistakes are allowed in the examination test. 5 - The requirements of the study program have been mastered in general, but it is also quite clear that there is insufficient depth in the understanding of several important aspects of the licensing and permit system of the State Police, or a lack of understanding of them. In the essay, there are difficulties with expressing personal attitude about the researched problem issue. Eight to ten mistakes are allowed in the examination test. 4 – The requirements of the study program have been mastered in general, but it is obvious that the understanding of several important aspects of the licensing and permit system of the State Police is very superficial or even superficial and there are great difficulties in using the acquired knowledge to express one's opinion. Elaborated essay is a general description of a chosen problem, without personal evaluation, and gross mistakes have been made in the design of the essay (references to literary sources used in the work are not included and designed). 11 to 12 mistakes are allowed in the examination test. Low learning rate (3 poor, 2 very poor, 1 very, very poor): 3 – Insufficiently learned requirements of the study program. The essay has been written unsuccessfully, as a general description of the selected problem issue cannot even be summarized (references to literature sources used in the work are not included and formatted). The examination test has been written unsuccessfully because more than 13 mistakes have been made. 2 – Knowledge only partially meets the requirements of the study program, very poor understanding of the licensing and permit system of the State Police as a whole. The requirements of the study course have not been met. The essay was not submitted on time, the examination test was not written during the exam. 1 – There is no understanding of the study subject as a whole, not being able to express an opinion on the elementary processes of the licensing and permit system of the State Police. The requirements of the study course have not been met. The essay was not submitted on time, the student did not come to the exam.
