Preliminary Knowledge:
Psychology at secondary school level.
Objective:
To provide students with knowledge of the psychological regularities of human relationships. Help to acquire practical skills of active listening, public speaking, teamwork, conflict resolution, interaction with people of various personality types.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Two home assignments have to be done for Class 1. The first homework will be required for group work during the lesson; it will no longer be accepted after the lesson and will be rated “0”. The second homework has to be submitted to the secretary for registration of the work. Home assignments: 1) work in groups of 3 students: a. Find (or create your own) video material or material from the mass media (the volume is not regulated) where you can spot some mechanism for protecting the psyche (the material is needed to be able to participate in the seminar, it will have to be presented to others) b. Familiarize yourself with some scientific research on social perception and prepare a presentation of this research to present to others 2) Individual work – Essay (reflection work): “The peculiarities of communication between my generation". Three home assignments have to be done for Class 2. The second and third homework will be required for group work during the lesson, it will no longer be accepted after the lesson and will be rated "0". Home assignment: 1) in groups of 3 students: prepare a presentation of the literature (can use both indicated and other literature) on what is needed for effective and convincing communication 2) in groups of 3 students: find (or make your own) video material or use material from the mass media (the volume is not regulated) where you can see convincing and effective communication (material needed to participate in the seminar, it will have to be presented to others), which practically shows the information presented in the presentation 3) in groups of 3 students: get acquainted with some research on effective communication and prepare a presentation of this research to present to others. For the last class, you will have to prepare the homework that will be required for group work during the lesson, it will no longer be accepted after the lesson and will be rated "0". Home assignments: 1) in groups of 3 to 4 students: Find (or create yourselves) video or material from some mass media (the volume is not regulated) reflecting and analysing a conflict: (cause, course, solution, transaction analysis) (the material is needed to participate in the seminar; you will need to present it to others) 2) Individual work-essay (reflection work): main types of conflicts, manifestations, ways of resolution of my generation 3) in groups of 3 students: get acquainted with some research on conflict and prepare a presentation of this research to present to others. At the end of the course you have to submit a final work: report, analysis or creative work.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:The student describes the concepts of communication psychology, explains the basic problems and facts analysed in communication psychology, analyses theories in communication psychology; explains the theory and practical application of communication psychology, critically evaluates communication psychology in contemporary context.
Skills:Uses various terms in communication psychology; explains socio-psychological phenomena in everyday situations, analyses their causes and possible consequences; explains the mechanisms of interpersonal influence.
Competencies:The student explains the constructs, theories and terminology of communication psychology, applies findings and conclusions of communication psychology in research.
