Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | As a result of completing the study course, students will know the general regularities of drug action and the terms used in pharmacology, recognise the effects of the peripheral nervous system in the body, be able to name the main groups and examples of medicines affecting the nervous system and metabolic processes, as well as antimicrobials, describing their effects, indications and characteristic side effects. Students will know basic information about the types and basic principles of prescription, dosage calculations.
Skills: | As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in the analysis of medications prescribed to patients.
Competencies: | Students will be able to integrate the knowledge and skills acquired: • in the process of treating patients, analysing and evaluating the action, indications, side effects of the medicines prescribed to patients and independently seeking additional information about them, as well as other medicines used in treatment; • in the clinical pharmacology and internal medicine study courses in the future study process.
