Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Knowledge in sports theory, pedagogy, sports pedagogy, sports didactics, psychology, sports psychology, anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. Knowledge, skills and abilities in one of the figure skating disciplines are required.
Objective:
Promote the education of highly qualified specialists - senior coaches of the sport, with an understanding of the training process of figure skaters of various figure skating disciplines and the possibilities of differentiation and individualization of the figure skating training process, according to the abilities, needs and interests of the students. Competence development in accordance with the requirements of the professional standard of the senior coach of the sport.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Independent works: analysis of figure skating disciplines and their elements - dances on ice, sports pairs, artistic dance, synchronized skating. Methodology of teaching two selected technical elements in each discipline. Independent work with presentation: possibilities of including elements of three different figure skating disciplines in the training process of figure skaters to expand the training content, according to the abilities and interests of the students.
Assessment Criteria:
The total score is summative. Independent work – Figure skating disciplines - dance on ice, sports pairs, artistic dance, synchronized skating analysis of elements and teaching methodology of the two selected technical elements Independent work with presentation: possibilities of including elements of three different figure skating disciplines in the training process of figure skaters to expand the training content, according to the abilities and interests of the students.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:1. Knows the disciplines of figure skating - the main elements of ice dancing and their teaching methodology. 2. Knows the disciplines of figure skating - the main elements of the sport and their teaching methodology. 3. Knows the disciplines of figure skating - the main elements of artistic dance and their teaching methodology. 4. Knows the main elements of figure skating disciplines - synchronized skating and their teaching methodology.
Skills:1. Understands and knows how to define the elements of various figure skating disciplines and the possibilities of learning them in the training process of figure skaters. 2. training process and according to ISU criteria 6 types of jumps, 6 groups of pirouettes and 4 types of turns and steps.
Competencies:The elements of various figure skating disciplines and their parts are applied in the differentiation and individualization of the training process of figure skaters, according to the abilities, needs and interests of the students.
