Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
The 1st level of higher education or an academic Bachelor’s degree in sports science has been obtained, or study courses in Social and Communication Psychology, Management Theory have been mastered.
Objective:
To provide students with knowledge about the theoretical foundations of management psychology; To promote the practical application of theoretical knowledge in business in the sports environment; To deepen understanding of the psychological aspects of human resources management and the creation of an efficient team.

Unaided Work:
Independent works: Comparative analysis of 2 theories of leadership. Evaluation of concepts of motivation of employees in the field of sport. Psychological description of decision-making in the activities of a sports specialist. Conflict resolution and discussion methods in a sports team/group. Independent learning with a presentation: Analysis of a sports group/team development dynamics with an example.
Assessment Criteria:
The total assessment is summative. Independent works: Comparative analysis of 2 theories of leadership. Evaluation of concepts of motivation of employees in the field of sport. Psychological description of decision-making in the activities of a sports specialist. Conflict resolution and discussion methods in a sports team/group. Independent learning with a presentation: Analysis of a sports group/team development dynamics with an example.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:1. Knows the course of the management process and leadership theories in psychology; 2. Knows motivation theories and decision-making processes; 3. Knows and understands group development theories and the psychological peculiarities of managing them.
Skills:1. Understands and knows how to analyse and apply knowledge of motivation theories as a sports coach and manager. 2. Able to analyse the impact of communicative and socio-psychological factors on professional aspects in a sports team.
Competencies:1. Knows how to develop a plan to build an effective team in the field of sport. 2. Knows how to apply conflict resolution and discussion methods in a sports team/group.
