Objective: | To master the history of sports in chronological order, to find one’s way and analyse events in the history of sport. To promote the formation and development of students’ cognition processes. To promote an active life approach, in learning and analysis of historical situations and problems. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | 1. To collect 30 important facts in a table on the development of an athletic discipline from its origins to the present day, arranging facts chronologically, at least 10 facts regarding the most striking events in Latvia. To specify the source of information for each fact. 2. To conduct a survey of LASE graduates, summarise the information obtained in a presentation. 3. To prepare a presentation – a quiz on the development of an athletic discipline (10 questions). | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Assessment criteria of learning outcomes: 1. Purposeful activity in seminars and practical classes – 30% 2. Independent work performed by the student when preparing for practical management of study activities and other examinations – 50% 3. Tests of acquired knowledge and skills – 20% | ||||||||
