Study course description | |||||||||
Preliminary Knowledge: | General education study courses of the programme, industry-specific compulsory study courses, industry-specific elective study courses and industry and profession-specific study courses. | ||||||||
Objective: | To strengthen, supplement the knowledge of trainees, improve their professional skills and competences, in accordance with the requirements of the sports coach’s profession. | ||||||||
Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | Students’ independent learning is organised individually. Students prepare independently for sports classes; study and analyse scientific and methodological literature related to the topics of the placement; develop class plans, levels of performance of children. Creates a vision of the teacher’s image. Code of ethics for a teacher. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | The placement is assessed using a differentiated assessment of ten points. 1. To get a positive assessment for the Placement, the total assessment should sum up to at least 4. 2. The grade is awarded in points according to established parameters and assessment criteria. 3. Assessment parameters: attitude towards the placement, pedagogical skills and abilities, cooperation and organisational skills, ability to analyse and evaluate own work, documentation. 4. The trainee must receive at least 1 point in each parameter. If no points on performance are received in any parameter, the final assessment is negative and the Placement fails. 5. The placement supervisor is entitled to reduce the total Placement assessment, if the Placement documentation has not been prepared qualitatively and in full. | ||||||||

Knowledge: | 1. Knows how to define the limits for learning of movements, provides effective feedback individually to each student. | ||||||||
Skills: | 2. Builds a physically and emotionally safe developing and inclusive training environment. 3. Plans and implements practically meaningful training classes in line with the regulatory framework. 4. Offers various tasks in training classes in line with students’ fitness and health. 5. Encourages students to think and give them opportunity to plan, monitor and assess their training process. 6. Plans the training process that focuses on learning outcomes of students and fits into the general training programme. 7. Takes care that students critically assess different information, make informed decisions, cooperate effectively, taking into account their own needs and those of others. 8. Formulates clear learning outcomes and appropriate criteria for assessment of students’ performance. | ||||||||
Competencies: | 9. Systematically plans and implements personal professional growth, seeks support, time and learning material to continue to improve further. 10.
