Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Acquisition of basic theoretical knowledge in previous semesters. Successful completion of the training placement in semester 7.
Objective:
To integrate theoretical knowledge and skills in social case work acquired during theoretical courses of the professional study programme into work at placement institutions.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Getting acquainted with the organisational structure of the placement institution and the available documents.
Assessment Criteria:
Evaluation of the analysis of the client’s current problem, emotional and psychological aspect, understanding and the need for social help or service.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Able to use assessment methods; understand the documentation in social work; understand, identify and define the social help and services appropriate for the client; understand team building and organization of social case work in social work practice.
Skills:Able to use assessment methods to identify clients needs, problems, difficulties and resources; is able to involve the client and the professionals and service providers; is able to plan and carry out intervention.
Competencies:Able to manage social case appropriate to the client's needs and according to the theories of social work.
