Objective: | To provide knowledge of the basic issues of psychology, to develop the ability to perceive and understand the psychological aspects of human behavior in the context of social work. | ||||||||

Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | Student has to independently review the presentation provided in lectures, read mandatory literature sources, accordingly to the lecture topics. To deepen their understanding, student should use recommended literature sources. Has to independently do analysis of provided learning materials, create a presentation on provided topic and present it. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | The course is considered mastered if the student has mastered the theoretical material of lectures and classes (Test – 50%), has completed the study tasks during the classes – 20% (completed tasks are credited), has obtained positive intermediate assessments (research selection, analysis and presentation – 20%). Regular attendance of lectures and classes and active productive participation – 10% can be used as an additional assessment. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Students will be able to define the basic concepts of the psyche, explain their manifestations; to describe the theoretical directions of psychology, areas of professional activity, psyche phenomena and human social roles and the process of socialization during his life. | ||||||||
Skills: | Will be able to compare different psychological theoretical approaches, analyze human mental processes, emotions, personality peculiarities and individual socialization processes during life. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Students will be able to perceive and understand mental phenomena at the level of the individual, the regularities of mental processes; will be able to evaluate current social roles, socialization processes and their influencing factors based on theoretical models. | ||||||||
