Preliminary Knowledge: | Social work at the level of the Bachelor's study programme; practical experience in the field of social services. | ||||||||
Objective: | To improve knowledge of the macro practice of social work, social processes, policies and practices; to improve critical analytical thinking skills; to expand professional competence in formulating and positioning social issues, solving problems and developing social services. | ||||||||

Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | Study of literature; analysis of social cases; presentation of independent works and preparation of a discussion. Examination requirements: I Social case analysis (presentation). II Social development policy of “X” local government (5 – 7 pages). III Social worker as leader of change: social engagement project in “X” local government. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Independent studies of literature – 30%. Prepared presentation and activity in classes – 20%. Independent work II – 20%. Independent work III – 30%. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | As a result of mastering of the study course, the student gains an in-depth understanding and professional competence in macro practice of social work, gains knowledge of the interaction between the environment, individual and society and theoretical perspectives of social development, on the leading and organisation of social work. | ||||||||
Skills: | As a result of mastering of the study course, the student deepens analytical thinking skills, develops skills to analyse and conceptualise social problems; acquires skills in planning, evaluating and attracting resources in line with the needs of society, community and individual | ||||||||
Competencies: | When learning the study course, the students will be able to criticise, rationalise and take responsible decisions; able to plan, evaluate and attract resources, taking into account the needs of different communities and society; able to organise and lead social work independently. | ||||||||
