Assessment
Unaided Work:
Attendance of lecture and practical classes, preparation for examination (test work, seminars and colloquia), according to the content of the study course; preparation for the final examination of the study course; individual and group work; with study materials, study literature (research, analysis) and RSU e - environment; drawing up of practical work results; performance of specific tasks; preparation of presentations and reports; attending consultations on the content of the study course. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evalution questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria:
Attendance of lectures and classes; work with study materials and literature; oral and practical knowledge control during classes; participation in group work. Method of examination: theoretical test at the end of the study course.
Final Examination (Full-Time):Exam
Final Examination (Part-Time):Exam
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:As a result of completing the study course, the student will know the main research methods of anthropology; will be able to define and describe the most important somatometric points of the head and body, their location and determination on the human body.
Skills:The student will recognise and compare the proportions of the human body in different ethnic, age and gender groups; describe the meaning of certain anthropometric measurements (longitudinal dimensions, transverse dimensions, circumferences, fat tissue fold thickness); describe the meaning, changes, trends and influencing factors of body frame and mass; define the essence of body mass index, determination and possible changes thereof; assess and compare the fat tissue fold thickness in different locations and list possible changes thereof; work with specialised literature.
Competencies:The student will be to use the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge to skilfully determine individual somatometric points of the head and body, measure skin fat folds, determine plantogram parameters, calculate some indices of body proportions.
