Assessment Criteria:
At the study course student’s performance is evaluated in cumulative assessment. Total final grade is formed from the fulfilment of the following criteria with an appropriate proportion: 1. Class participation - 15% 2. Attitude and communication to patients, staff and colleagues (classmates) - 10% 3. Assesment of practical class and seminars - 75%
Final Examination (Full-Time):Exam (Written)
Final Examination (Part-Time):
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:After successful completion of the course the students will have acquired basic knowledge that will be needed for diagnosis of pathological changes in the oral cavity, including other diseases and manifestations of concomitant diseases. Students will be capable to make morphological diagnosis, interpret pathological laboratory data, they will know the proper sequence of investigation and will be able to plan treatment. Students will know the investigation methods in forensic dentistry and their use in identification of a person.
Skills:Students will be able to diagnose and differentiate between primary and secondary disease elements, read the data of the blood and biochemical analysis, recognize the changes of physiological processes in the development of oral pathology.
Competencies:After completion of the course the students will be able to begin professional diagnostics of oral disorders, associating it with a comprehensive in-depth treatment plan based on the assessment of general health of the patient.
