Preliminary Knowledge:
Psychology, philosophy, idea of universal human values.
Objective:
Contemplate the rules of behaviour which are accepted in formal relations in Europe, that are topical also in Latvian society, as well as pay attention to standards of behaviour that are often exceeded.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Independently create a CV, business card, letter of motivation, business invitation. According to the requirements specified describe business meetings and holiday types. Presentation "A Virtual Journey" (a journey to the selected state, city) – independent preparation according to the requirements, presentation and evaluation of the work in the study group, self-evaluation (questions, comments, travel experience).
Assessment Criteria:
Practical tests "Business Etiquette" at the beginning and in the end of the study process. Work performance: CV, business card, letter of motivation, invitation, business meetings and holiday types. Preparation, presentation and evaluation of the essays "A Virtual Journey". Creative and active participation in the study course. Answers to questions.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:On completion of the study course the students will be able to: • describe and outline topicalities in formal etiquette in different countries, its development and trends, the essence of the business etiquette; • list clothing styles and clothing to name formal clothing selection criteria; • comment on the clothing culture and the importance of a professional image formation; • describe types of formal communication: job interview, greeting, first impression, business communication in the work environment, business meetings and types of entertainment; • formulate the role of a protocol.
Skills:• etiquette attribute creation skills and abilities: CV, business cards, motivational letters, invitations; • formal clothing, footwear and accessories selection, ability to tie a tie (Windsor and half Windsor knot); • formal gift and flower selection and recommendations; • use of etiquette and mutual formalities; • explain etiquette or netiquette guidelines.
Competencies:• Personal Portfolio creation. • Formal clothing choice. • Business communication in different countries.
