Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | 1st year of study Acquires knowledge, and practical skills and abilities of using exercises to warm up and strengthen muscles. In the 1st semester, the student develops and prepares a complex of exercises, describes, according to the terminology of the exercises, sequentially arranges the exercises in the complex, dosage, instructions on the technical execution of the exercises. In e-studies, a sample has been prepared, according to which the student should be guided and develop his complex. In the 2nd semester, prepare exercises with your own body weight for one muscle group, from different starting positions. Describes the terminology (+ illustrate), notes indications that affect the quality of exercise performance. 2nd and 5th year of study – To acquire knowledge, skills and abilities in the application of physical exercises in health promotion and health sports, acting independently, from lecture materials. Develops exercise complexes (using exercise equipment and varying the use of exercises) to achieve a specific lesson goal in a health sports lesson, practically lead and present them. Develops a program of physical activity recommendations for one month, for a specific person, using aerobic, strength and flexibility exercises, indicating the person's age, gender, height, weight, BMI, physical activity, physical fitness, health status. List the main goals in order of importance that one wants to achieve through physical exercise. In e-studies, a matrix is prepared, which helps the student to prepare and design the program. Independently learn various course topics according to the literature sources indicated by the lecturer, in order to prepare for the theory test and develop a physical activity recommendation program. 1. Physical activity recommendations for Latvian residents 2. Recommendations for the promotion of physical activities for Latvian residents (2019) 3. Sports policy guidelines for 2021-2027 (you only need to know the purpose and directions of the sports policy, page 11) 4. Energy supply during muscle work, threshold of anaerobic exchange. (pages 181-184) 5. Structure of sports training. (2.gr. p. 80) 6. Training load, symptoms of fatigue after different loads (pages 81-84) 7. Overload stages, reasons causing and aggravating overload (pages 84-85) 8. Health conditions in which sports are prohibited (pages 193-195) 9. Peculiarities of physical activities for seniors (pages 195-198) 10. Development of children's movement skills and selection of sports activities appropriate to the child's level of development (pp. 58-59). The impact of loads of different intensity and volume on the child's growth (60 pages). In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria: | 1st year of study - semester record. Assessment - active participation of the student in classes, timely submission of independent works. Student's ability to demonstrate correct and qualitative execution of movements during exercises, observing the methodology, step-by-step sequence. Perform strength exercises with own body weight to strengthen the musculature from different starting positions and give instructions on the technical execution of the exercises. 2nd, 5th year of study - final assessment exam. Cumulative examination: electronic test (30%) during semester 3, physical activity recommendation programme ( 30%) during semester 3, demonstrates a set of exercises using exercise equipment that creatively enables the physiotherapist to carry out his/her work with the client (40%) during semester 4. Detailed assessment criteria in e-studies.
