Preliminary Knowledge: | Secondary school level knowledge in Social sciences. | ||||||||
Objective: | To develop students' understanding of stress processes, their impact on people at the physiological, psychological and communication level, as well as the basic principles of stress management in relation to current stress situations (current stressors) both in individual level as well as the current situation in society context. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | Within the framework of independent work, students study literature, participate in group work and discussions, individually acquire and improve practical skills of stress management and perform exercises. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | 1. Active participation in classes – participation in discussions, presentation of individual and / or group independent work, performance of self-monitoring test after videolectures - 20% 2. Analysis of scientific research - 40% 3. Development of an individual stress management plan - 40%. The rating is given on a 10-point scale. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Gains knowledge about the mechanisms of stress, their impact on people, about the individual characteristics of the personality in relation to the impact of different stressors, about importance of emotions and the risk and prevention of emotional burnout, about stress management techniques and time management. | ||||||||
Skills: | Can navigate stress theories. Can recognize stress reactions. Understands the causes of stress and their impact on physical and emotional health. Able to apply stress reduction techniques and their impact on improving physical and emotional health. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Able to recognize stress in themselves and perform the most appropriate stress management techniques, apply stress management techniques preventively to improve their stress resilience, is able to recognize stress reactions in others. | ||||||||
