Preliminary Knowledge: | Basic knowledge of epidemiology and biostatistics. Corresponding to the requirements of doctoral studies, a master's degree in health sciences, psychology or biology as well as a medical doctor’s degree compared to the master's degree. Knowledge corresponding to the doctoral study course "Epidemiology Part 1". | ||||||||
Objective: | In addition to the aim of the first part of the course, to provide knowledge and gain competence in research methods of human population, in research of causes of health, disease and treatment results, in obtaining, planning, expressing and interpreting results using quantitative research methods including analysis and control of confounding, interaction and bias of causal models, principles of modelling and questions of research quality assurance and measuring. | ||||||||

Assessment Criteria: | 100% lecture attendance; Test on every topic: at least 70% correct answers; report on the adjusted draft doctoral thesis corresponding to the theory of modern epidemiology. Participation in discussions during interactive lectures. | ||||||||
