Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Knowledge of health care organization and management is necessary to understand the regulation of law. Knowledge of the English language is required for working with health care law sources and research materials.
Objective:
The study course ensures the acquisition of knowledge in the field of health care law and improves the student's skills in the application of law.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
• Work with literature, regulatory acts • Gathering and analyzing information • Presentation of results of assignments and results of independent work. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria:
• Practical work and activity in classes (work presentation) 20%. • Scientific quality of the study course report 80%.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:• Understanding about the place and role of healthcare in the legal system. • Knowledge of the principles of health care and patients' rights and their application requirements in health care institutions. • Knowledge of the conditions contained in legal acts for the work of a health care institution • Knowledge of the duties and rights of health care persons. • Knowledge of the procedure for controlling health care services. • Knowledge of the conditions of liability of health care institutions and persons and the procedure for applying liability.
Skills:• Select, research and analyze legislation. • Analyze the legal component of practical healthcare cases. • Select, compile and analyze legal research materials. • Prepare and develop an academic report on a specific current legal case. • Prepare and present a health care law case.
Competencies:• Knowledge of the basic principles of health care law and the ability to apply them in practical cases. • Knowledge of the legislation necessary for healthcare management personnel and the ability to apply it in practice. • Research competencies – selection and analysis of legal sources, scientific materials. • Academic writing and argumentation. • Ability to present, justify and defend an opinion.
