Analogue vs. Digital Exhibition
We invite everyone to visit the exhibition Analogue vs Digital that can be seen in the display cases by the entrance of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) History Museum next to the Great Hall (16 Dzirciema iela, Rīga).
Analogue systems have been increasingly and rapidly replaced by digital ones, and we are experiencing a digital transformation. This transformation makes our work processes and communication easier, saves time, gives us more freedom and enables us to become more competitive. We are therefore able to do much more than before.
We keep historical evidence of analogue devices in the museum. You are invited to take a look at the "analogue predecessors" and reminisce about what everyday life was like before the digital transformation. You will be able to see how we learned before we had computers, tablets, mobile phones, and "Mother Google", how we developed skills or worked using analogue tools, how securely we stored personal information and personal data, how we communicated, how we managed our finances, etc.
We have undergone huge changes over the last few decades to the extent that some people cannot even imagine life before the "digital era", while others have lived experience to compare with! Are you nostalgic for the analoueg era or happy about digital freedom?
