How to choose a good journal wisely?
The purpose of this tailor-made training is to familiarize researchers, librarians and information specialists with the principles of a smart journal choice, which will allow good recognition and visibility of the published work, while avoiding dubious periodicals. The content, as well as with the available bibliometric parameters within Scopus will be presented and discussed. Attendees will also learn about the most useful tools and functions incorporated in Scopus, which allow them to make a fully informed and comprehensive choice of the journal in which they may publish. The training includes several on-line workflow examples and the participants are welcome to take active part.

Scopus: a tool for scholarly output evaluation
Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database containing information on peer-reviewed literature published by more than 5,000 international publishers. Its content provides a comprehensive picture of the global research landscape and as such, it may serve as a source of information for evaluation of scholarly output. In this tailor-made training, attendees will learn how to use the available parameters and tools within Scopus to assess the scholarly output. Moreover, attendees will learn how to submit corrections to their profiles, to ensure their data is current. The training includes several on-line workflow examples and the participants are welcome to take active part.
