The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Museum is starting off the university’s 70th anniversary year with an exhibition titled The History of the University Revealed Through Five Collections. At the exhibition you can learn about the university’s historical heritage. 

A part of the collection is available daily in the museum's permanent exhibition, on the website vēsture.rsu.lv and in annual changing exhibitions, but most of it is stored in the museum's repositories. The museum collection serves both the representation of the RSU and research work. It can be accessed by applying for a consultation at the museum and used for presentations, publications, exhibitions, to prepare a wide variety of audiovisual material, or for commercial purposes.

The RSU Museum’s historical collection currently includes around 3000 items. These are various material and non-material objects: documents, printed materials, manuscripts, audio recordings, video recordings, photographic and cinematic materials, awards, ceremonial and symbolic objects, furniture and interior objects, souvenirs and memorabilia, clothing, pictorial museum objects, seals, etc.

The RSU Museum’s collection is a part of the National Holdings of Museums and the objects stored there can also be viewed in the Joint Catalogue of the National Holdings of Museums. Late last year, the museum received recognition from the Latvian Centre for Culture Information Systems for having the proportionally highest number of objects published in the joint catalogue.
