Preliminary Knowledge: | Knowledge of chemistry, biochemistry, physics, microbiology, anatomy and physiology. | ||||||||
Objective: | The objective of the study course is to provide insight into environmental health and occupational health. | ||||||||

Assessment Criteria: | Students are assessed according to the following criteria: - participation in practical classes - 30%; - relevance and quality of answers in e-tests - 30%, and - quality of presentations - 40%. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | As a result of completing the study course, students will have the following knowledge: • basic knowledge of the importance of environmental health and occupational health, principles and applying them in practice, • how to analyse and recognise the main environmental health and work environment problems, • how to control and reduce the risk of developing diseases of the musculoskeletal system. | ||||||||
Skills: | As a result of completing the study course, students will be able: • to recognize chemical, biological, ergonomic, psycho-emotional, traumatic and other risk factors at the dentist's workplace, • to assess the risks of occupational diseases and take preventive measures, | ||||||||
Competencies: | After completing the course, students will gain the competence to apply the acquired knowledge on environmental and occupational health while working as a dentist. | ||||||||
