Preliminary Knowledge: | All Clinical Pharmacy courses are completed. | ||||||||
Objective: | To demonstrate the ability of the study programme alumni to formulate and analyse current issues in clinical pharmacy, to compile scientific literature, to choose the most suitable way to solve the problem and to collect data, to process data, to collect the obtained information, to analyse it, to give one’s assessment and to present the results. | ||||||||

Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | Conducts independent research in accordance with the Regulation on the Development and Defence of a Qualification Paper, Student Research Paper, Bachelor’s Thesis and Master’s Thesis. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Master’s thesis is assessed by the Master’s Thesis Assessment Commission. During the defence of the Master’s thesis, the student presents the relevance of the research, goals, tasks, research results and conclusions in 15 minutes. After the student’s report, reading the reviewer’s written assessment, listening to the answers to the questions, discussing and getting acquainted with the opinion of the thesis supervisor, the commission makes its decision in a closed meeting, by open voting. The thesis is assessed on a 10-point scale. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Able to demonstrate in-depth and expanded theoretical and methodological knowledge in clinical pharmacy, pharmacology, drug metabolism and interactions, pharmaceutical biochemistry and toxicology, pharmacoeconomics, ensuring safe, rational and economically justified diagnosis and pharmacotherapy. Able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the nature of academic writing, the principles of drawing up scientific papers. | ||||||||
Skills: | Able to apply the acquired knowledge and problem-solving skills, principles of evidence-based pharmacy to conduct research. Able to independently formulate and critically analyse the pharmacotherapy prescribed to patients, taking into account the diagnosis, symptoms, examination results, as well as the principles of safety, efficiency and economy. Able to navigate various possibilities of publishing scientific results, approaches to drawing up bibliography. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Able to compile scientific literature, to choose the most suitable way to solve the problem and to collect data, to process data, to collect the obtained information, to analyse it, to give one’s assessment and to present the results. Able to prepare an abstract of a scientific report, a presentation and a scientific publication on the topic and results of the research work. | ||||||||
