Preliminary Knowledge: | Successfully completed all study courses, including, completed and defended: Study work I, Study work II, Practice (in specialization). | ||||||||
Objective: | The purpose of the national exam, which includes the development and defense of a diploma thesis, is to strengthen and develop theoretical knowledge, professional abilities and skills, in accordance with the requirements of the professional higher education study program "Police Work", as well as to prepare the student for further studies in the professional master's study program. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | Conducting scientific research (including consultations with the scientific leader): information collection, analysis, processing, design of the research result. Advocacy. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | The thesis is considered if: - it is pre-defended (directed to defend); - it has successfully passed the academic integrity test; - the scientific supervisor has submitted a positive evaluation (supervisor's review); - received a positive reviewer's rating; - the work has been successfully defended in the commission established by the faculty. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | In the process of developing a diploma thesis, students expand their knowledge of the research topic. Deepens and strengthens knowledge about the progress and methodology of research work development; find answers to questions related to the research topic of the bachelor thesis; realizes the purpose of the research, fulfills the tasks of the research; gain valuable insights that can be applied in the profession. | ||||||||
Skills: | Successful defense of the diploma thesis indicates the student's ability to constantly work with legal sources, according to the chosen topic of study work; the ability to develop a research work plan (structure), determine the scope of the study, analyze the opinions of other authors, making conclusions and proposals, as well as certify the base of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, in accordance with the requirements of the study program. | ||||||||
Competencies: | After successfully passing the state examination and successfully defending the Diploma thesis, the graduate acquires the right (by competition) to continue his studies in master's study programs. | ||||||||
