Preliminary Knowledge: | Prior knowledge in Political Science, Criminology is required. | ||||||||
Objective: | To learn the basics of ensuring public and public safety, identify the most important theories of public safety and promote understanding of their implementation in the state administration and political planning process. Tasks: learn the terminology of the study course; build an understanding of public safety theories; realize applicability of public safety theories in state administration and political planning process. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | Independent work consists of: written assignments, literature analysis, gathering information on the Internet, situation analysis. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Current tests passed 100%. Written assignments make up 30% of the total grade, situation analysis 30% of the total grade, exam 40% of the total grade. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Students gain knowledge about the subject of logic, certain semantic categories (terms, statements, operators), deductive and inductive conclusions, the structure of the reasoning process, as well as the variety of logical laws. You will gain knowledge about the nature of public safety, risks and threats. Students will be able to navigate the public safety system. | ||||||||
Skills: | After completing the course, students will be able to solve logic tasks with terms and statements, will be able to apply the rules of logic in the recognition of deductive conclusions, will be able to quickly find the arguments and solutions of justified theses, as well as present them. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Students will acquire competences in understanding the laws of logic, form arguments and conclusions, will be able to see the semantic categories of logic in legal texts. | ||||||||
