Preliminary Knowledge:
Social psychology, general psychology, developmental psychology, counseling skills, psychologist's professional activities and ethics.
Objective:
To form a general idea about the science of sports psychology and the psychological aspects and main topics of sports. To promote students' self-understanding and self-reflection. Provides an idea of the factors affecting sports psychology of teams and individual athletes, regularities at different age stages, as well as developing practice methods.

Essay topics will be given and clear criteria will be set. Indivudally or group work depending on the topic of the lesson (presentation, summary).
Assessment Criteria:
Work individually or in a group - 20%; Essay - 20%; Class attendance - 10%; Exam - 50%.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Name the factors of environmental influence in sports. Describes the types of motives in sports. Recognizes different emotions and feelings. Understands the psychological aspects of physical, technical and tactical preparation. Describes the main types of psychological preparation. Describes the psycho-emotional aspects of sports competition. Describes the psychological preparation of athletes during training and competitions. Understands the socio-psychological aspects of sports.
Skills:In practice, skills and methods are used to reduce athletes' stress, motivate them, and resolve conflicts.
Competencies:Uses self-reflection and skills when working independently or as part of a group/team.
