Unaided Work: | The independent work of the students is organized individually. Student's independent work tasks: 1) acquire basic and scientific literature related to the topics of the course; 2) to prepare reports for seminars - using specialized scientific literature, describing and analyzing the situation or case of neurotic disorders. The individual tasks have to be done in accordance with deadlines specified by the professor. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | In accordance with Regulations No. 141, No. 512, No. 240 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia and the Decision of the Senate of the University of Latvia as of 29.06.2015. No. 211, at the end of the course, students' knowledge is evaluated on a 10-point scale according to the following criteria: the amount and the quality of the obtained knowledge, acquired skills and competence in compliance with the planned learning outcomes. Lecture attendance is not mandatory. Seminar attendance and active participation - mandatory. Intermediate tests: 1. Presentation at the seminar(20%); 2. Term paper (written report) - (30%); Final examination: 3. Written exam (50%). | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Understand, how obsession with body weight interacts with individual psychological factors to cause a range of eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating and other disorders; Has an in - depth understanding of the latest findings and approaches on the professional medical methodology concerning eating disorder. | ||||||||
Skills: | The ability to recognize signs and precicely evaluate disease stage. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Plāno pacientu ar ēšanas traucējumu klīnisko izmeklēšanu un speciālistu konsultācijas. At ēšanas traucējumus un iegūtās zināšanas pielieto pacienta ēšanas traucējumu novēršanai. | ||||||||
