Preliminary Knowledge: | Preliminary knowledge in propadeutics, physiology, anatomy, basics of pharmacology, psychology, philosophy, basics of clinical care in obstetrics, supervision of physiological pregnancy, physiological obstetrics. | ||||||||
Objective: | To promote the acquisition of knowledge and understanding about the development and structure of care theories. To develop the ability to formulate care problems taking into account the needs related to the patient's health disorders, to set care goals and priorities, to plan, describe and explain the care activities performed by the midwife, as well as to evaluate the results of the care process. To encourage students to analyze the activities of midwifery care in the context of theories of midwifery, to plan the care process based on current theories of health care and midwifery, be able to analyze them. | ||||||||

Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | Students, in the framework of independent work, formulate care problems of the care process, describe and assess the solutions to care problems. Analyzes theories of the care process and midwifery knowledge. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Students complete all independent (indicated in e-studies) within the specified term, quality and amount. The final evaluation mark of the study course consists of 50% (for successful and timely work done during the study course) and 50% of the final examination. During distance lessons, those lessons are counted, during which the student is visible on camera and actively participates in the lesson. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | As a result of completing the study course students gain basic knowledge of the development and structure of health care process and midwifery theories, as well as knowledge of patient care problems in various cases of health disorders. | ||||||||
Skills: | As a result of completing the study course students will be able to describe and explain the possible solutions to the identified care problems. Will be able to independently develop a business plan. | ||||||||
Competencies: | As a result of completing the study course students will be able to create a systematic description of the clinical situation with defined care problems, description of care planning and solutions, description of assessment in the context of current theories of midwifery. | ||||||||
