Preliminary Knowledge: | Basic Physiotherapy, Sports for Health, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy in Orthopaedics, Neurology and other diseases. | ||||||||
Objective: | To get to know health promotion and prevention possibilities in physiotherapy practice for people at different age, with different occupation and activity level, and different health risk factors. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Understands health promotion and prevention possibilities in physiotherapy, basic principles and assessment of needs from PT point of view, recognises, can describe and knows how to reduce health risk factors in physiotherapy everyday practice with physiotherapy methods, understands and can explain patient's role in health promotion and prevention, can explain the role of physical activity and knows how to select the appropriate one. | ||||||||
Skills: | Can recognise and assess positive and negative, internal and external factors influencing musculoskeletal and other body systems in particular situation; is able to plan and realise health promotion and prevention activities and to control realisation for groups or individuals at different age with different occupation and use physiotherapy methods for it. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Is able to analyse and explain health promotion and prevention role in physiotherapist's everyday work, is able to create health promotion and prevention activities in physiotherapy practice. | ||||||||
