Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Physics, chemistry, human anatomy, normal and pathological physiology, internal diseases, neurological diseases, surgical diseases, skin diseases.
Objective:
To develop students' skills to set out the methods of physical concepts, to develop students' skills to explain physical methods expected of subjective sensations during the procedure, to develop the ability to speak about physical therapy precautions, to develop the skills to calculate to amount of ultraviolet rays BIODEV and the physical medicine methods divided into the groups, to outline the physical medicine factor indications, to develop ability to formulate physical medicine contra-indications, to systematise the main medical effects of physical factors.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Individual work – preparing for tests, independent work with literature sources in order to prepare a course work.
Assessment Criteria:
• Active and efficient participation in practical classes. • Practical performance of physical therapy procedures. • Successfully written tests of general physical therapy issues. • Course work and quality of the presentation. • Oral test at the end of the study course.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:On successful completion of study course students will be able to: • define the concepts of physical methods; • name the main therapeutic effects of physical therapy; • count the indications and contra-indications of physical therapy methods.
Skills:On successful completion of study course students will be able to: • choose appropriate apparatus and equipment of physical therapy methods; • interpret ultraviolet BIODEV size; • assess the safety of physical therapy apparatus and equipment in the physical medicine and rehabilitation department.
Competencies:On successful completion of study course students will be able to: • assess patients' subjective feelings during a physical therapy session; • systematize and classify groups of physical therapy methods based on the physical characteristics factors.
