Objective: | To improve the undergraduate students' understanding of research and the ability in drawing up their own research project, including a detailed justification and implementation process, planned procedures for data acquisition and processing; to assess the potential risks and threats of the planned research; to describe ethical aspects of the research. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | 1. Develop and defend the Bachelor’s Thesis independently and in cooperation with the supervisor. 2. Develop and defend the draft Bachelor’s Thesis independently and in cooperation with the supervisor. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | 1. Developed and defended the draft Bachelor's Thesis: Search, selection, and analysis of the literature according to the research topic; draft research has been drawn up and developed including the justification of the topicality and problem of the research, literature review, a detailed description of the research methodology and predictable outcomes; the potential risks and threats for the planned research have been evaluated; ethical aspects of the research have been described. 2. Developed and defended the Bachelor's Thesis: Search, selection, and analysis of the literature relevant to the topic of the research is carried out; the Thesis is based on the developed and approved draft research that includes the justification of the research topicality and research problem, research aim, research tasks, and research questions, literature review, a detailed description of the research methodology and the main outcomes; in-depth interpretation of the research results is done. Conclusions and recommendations have been made. 3. Participation in the conference "Health and Personality Development: Interdisciplinary Approach" with an oral paper or passive participant. Please note that Bachelor's Thesis is an independently developed work, therefore the use of artificial intelligence tools (e.g. ChatGPT) in t ext generation is strictly forbidden and will be considered a violation of academic integrity! | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | Understands, compares and critically evaluates different theoretical approaches and research results related to the research topic; names and characterizes methods of data acquisition, processing and analysis, identifies the practical application of research results, understands requirements for the development of Bachelor's Thesis and evaluation criteria. | ||||||||
Skills: | Formulates the aim of the research and sets the research tasks and question(-s)/hypothesis(-es) according to the topic; selects and critically evaluates literature sources; substantiates the topicality and problem of the research. Students are able to plan and carry out research, including the selection of samples and instrumentation appropriate to the purpose of the study, and the development of a protocol and appropriate data processing and analysis methods. Able to describe and interpret the research results, identify the limitations and strengths of the research, and draw appropriate conclusions. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Independently plans and develops research according to the basic principles of research and ethics; synthesizes its content based on the selected literature and obtained results; independently organizes work and makes decisions; discusses the obtained research results and conclusions using argumentation. | ||||||||
