Unaided Work: | Individual, pair and group work: preparation of narratives and presentations according to the course topics, work with the dictionary – finding the meaning of unknown words, writing short descriptions/essays on a specific topic. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | 1. Active participation in practical classes, high quality home assignments completed in a timely manner, quality of answers during the classes. 2. Test at the end of the module, which may include reading, listening, writing and speaking skills and vocabulary use. 3. Accumulative evaluation at the end of the 3rd semester, taking into consideration the results of tests and the activity during the semester. 4. Examination at the end of the course, which may include reading, listening, writing and speaking skills and vocabulary use. The final grade consists of: examination – 50%; test results – 40%; homework and presentations – 10%. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | On completion of the study course, students will be able to: • understand and use minimum vocabulary in Spanish in everyday situations; • recognise and use the word order in narrative sentences and questions; • be able to differentiate between the present, past and future activities; • be able to recognise the most often used language structures in Spanish. | ||||||||
Skills: | On completion of the study course, students will be able to: • find the needed information in the text and use the most often used phrases to start and maintain a conversation and to exchange information; • understand simple texts about everyday topics, letters, invitations, dialogues, announcements at the airport or at the station, weather forecasts, etc.; • provide basic information about themselves, their relatives, living conditions and studies; • write an informal letter; • use the acquired language structures in everyday communication. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to use lexical phrases and language structures they have learned in everyday communication. | ||||||||
